Għaqda Koperattiva tas-Sajd Ltd. was established in 1964 with a scope of having a "utility for the utiliser". The co-operative offers various services for all the professional fishermen and also to part-time fishermen. Such servicesar Fish purchasing/Sales, Supply of Flake Ice, Fishing Tackle, Fishing Accessories, Cold Storage, Insurance Coverage and an area for packing and processing of fish. These facilitiies are available at the co-operative premises which is in the center of the salient port of Marsaxlokk.

The Co-operative of Pork Producers, also known as KIM, ensures that the Multiplier Units are stocked with good quality Parent Stock in order to supply its members with a variety of Gilts and Boars. This guarantees the quality of pork meat and other pork products to the consumers.
